He is a USCG 100-ton Master, US SAILING certified instructor, and holds a Maryland Safe Boating Instructor certification. He delivers boats up and down the Atlantic Coast. He holds several Teaching/Instructor certifications for corporate training and is active in youth mentoring programs. He and his wife have operated several charter boats on the Chesapeake Bay and currently operate Journey for the Cruising package as well as day charters. Jacqueline Appleton-Fife began sailing with her father at age two. She has raced with an all women's crew in local regattas on a J-30. She spent four years in Bermuda sailing and racing with her husband on their J-24, JAG. She and her husband have sailed the Windward and Leeward Islands. She holds a USCG 50-ton Captain License and a PADI Master Diver certification. Her background in the travel industry helps students find Yacht Charters and Dive Excursions in the USA and Islands. Jacki and Dave David Fife spent seven years packing 20 years of sailing experience into gaining his USCG 50-ton Captain License. His background as a flight engineer on helicopters and his single engine fixed pilot's license provides a good technical foundation for teaching the science of sailing. His long history as an entertainer supplies the creative art side for teaching sailing. He and his wife Jacqueline also operate a sailboat chartering service in Rock Hall, Maryland.
